We got all the materials to build the stand. It won't get done til Sunday at least, because of tomorrow being a work day. Well maybe tomorrow night! But it's gonna get done. I've been telling Dennis to post more but he reads everything and talks about it and doesn't type. He'll get there!

Great. You gonna paint everything or just go the raw route? Be sure to post a pic of the styrofoam before you put it on the stand if you don't mind. I still can't quite get my mind around what it looks like. I keep thinking of styrofoam coolers...lol

Make any progress on your stand this weekend angel, or did the real world get in the way of the important stuff?

Is the insulation expensive, and do you have to buy sheets that big? Looking good so far. Keep us posted.

You can buy packages of it in 4 ft by 13" sections and you get like 6 pieces I think for $10. The sheet we got was around that too--$10-11. There are different thicknesses. I think the cheapest is just under $8.

With ours it'll be holding a 6 ft tank so it'll have 4 columns of bricks and a thick piece of plywood, and then the insulation. I'd never trust it the way the fish store in the picture did theirs.

youve got to be careful and make sure the insuation is dence enough it wont mush out and start push in certain areas if your puttin it under the tankand over the plywood
