With the mussels? Or was it snails. There was something where they wanted to build before! Did that get solved?

I don't think it was any of that on this section- possibly mussels on the next part. We have 3 different companies watching the enviromental issues. Everyone and their brother has been trying to get it shut down, but it is by far the most enviromentally friendly job ever built in the state. All pics were shot about an hour ago walking down a couple of streams.

Haha, I built the bridges in those pictures!!! Not literally, I told them where to put it. I'm a surveyor for the folks who don't know.
Jon, I spotted several Darters in the stream @ Bridge #8. They were very colorful, looked to be Orange-throat Darters but I didn't net any to get a good look at them.
I tell you though, I'm all about not destroying habitats, streams, etc, but the locals in the area that have tried to stop 840 have cost tax payers double, if not triple what it costs to build 7 miles of an interstate. And as far along as 840 was, they should have known that there was no stopping it until it was finished, B U T it keeps Jon and I employed, for now!!!
Jon you going to Bell's section when your job is finished?

I sure hope not! I have a job in Franklin and Mt. Juliet starting in less than a month hopefully. I don't know which I will choose yet. I'll probably start in Franklin and then move to Mt. Juliet because that project is less than a mile from my house. This driving 3 hrs a day crap is getting old.

Oh yeah, the first pic at the top is bridge 8. The valley below is haunted according to the locals(booger hollow). 4 deaths in less than a year in less than a couple thousand feet in either direction.

Oh sure, you guys get all the cool jobs! I do really love my job, though. Just would love to visit with the wildlife too.

It's all good til the ticks, chiggers, poison ivy, heat, dust, and rattlers come about by the end of this month. Then I'm all about avoiding it.

I forgot about the ticks! Not so cool anymore. Poison ivy is growing already. Noticed it in my flower bed today.
