thks Brain im making the stand 36 inchs tall that way the tank will be eye level, i built several stands with i was partners with another guy we had several 125 and 150 tanks and one that was 220 and all were on stands we made with 2x6 and 2x4

Looks sturdy. Most of my stands are wood also, custom built via myself, for my tanks too. A few wrought iron ones, but not many.

Rick most of my stands in my room are metal pallet racks that i have reworked to make fit. only reason i used wood on this one was i wanted to get it set up in the next few days the pallet racks takes a while to get them cut to fit your needs then paint them
