Plecos FTW lol. This time next year I expect to check more than two boxes, but if I get too many tanks I won't be able to call myself an armchair aquarist anymore!

I checked quite a few... lol ... though I'm hoping this time next year to add some local fish to the list... hoping i can get my 125g out of storage... setup a Bluegill / pumpkin seed fish. Throw in a cat fish as well. However Catfish from Chattanooga are not safe to eat.. you have to limit yourself to one a month... lol

I answered the poll....CICHLIDS, CICHLIDS and MORE CICHLIDS, baby! I'm a bit miffed that there was not a category for "nocturnal and ugly synodontis catfish", of which I have several, but hey, not everyone appreciates them. Good, more for me! Seriously, this is an all-species club and that gives us better diversity, but I still love to hear non-cichlid keepers butcher the latest 42-letter latin name of a cichlid. And the best thing about keeping cichlids: My fish can beat up your fish! Or we can place wagers and consume alcohol as they do battle? Thanks for the fun poll!

I give my fish people names like Spike and Baby Blue, and Jack in case you were wondering how weird I really am.

Scott says,....."I'm a bit miffed that there was not a category for "nocturnal and ugly synodontis catfish", of which I have several." To funny !!! LoL
Scott, they would go in "Other catfish." Sorry I wasn't specific, but I just wasn't sure how specific to get and feel certain I left some out. That is obvious snice we have some "Other" choices. BTW folks,......those of you who are choosing "Other," will you post in this thread what the others are for us ?

And,......I am one of your "butchers." Rickl sure isn't though ! Didn't he do an excellent job as our auctioneer last Sunday !!! Seemed to know the names of almost, if not all, of the fish we had in the auction !

I give my fish people names like Spike and Baby Blue, and Jack in case you were wondering how weird I really am. Mine were named "Big Blue", "Momma Blue", "Baby Blue" (about 20 of them had this name, they were collectively the "Baby Blues"), Dopey, and Evil Witch (substitute B when appropriate). The multies never had names, they were just "the multies", aka "the blue-eyed bulldozers" -Rick (the armchair aquarist)

I stopped naming mine many moons ago for 2 reasons. First because I lost fishy friends that way, and second because I started having just way to many to name.
