MY # 1 LONGFIN ALBINO BRISTLE NOSE SPAWNED AGAIN TODAY BUT HE KICKED THE EGGS OUT OF THE TUBE SO I WILL HAVE TO HATCH THEM IN A TUMBLER. FIRST PIC IS THE PROUD DADDY AND THE SECOND IS THE SPAWN OF EGGS IN THE TUMBLER Attachments:

Can you post some images of the complete tumbler? I've made some in the past, but I am always interested in other designs.

WOW, what a stunningly attractive fish! I have the several of the tumbler shown in the upper side of the pic, works great. Only caution, I've used these to contain day-old free-swimming fry when my space is limited. Imagine my surprise when Tilapia Snyderae fry were put in this...and fell right through the holes in the bottom! Oops.

thats good news , i think it better for the male if you take the eggs as soon as they spawn and hatch them in a tumbler it lets the male start eating again and lets him recover so he can do it again sooner i have had as high as 7 batchs of bn aggs going at once

I am still waiting for my grown L144's to spawn. Not sure what they are waiting on. All my others are just spread out all over the fishroom. None in a breeding setup right now except the L144's. How did I ever live w/o these little algae eaters in the past. I only got into these fish some 5 years ago, maybe less, and they are just the bomb for keeping tanks tidy.

rick seperate your male from the female for a month then put them together some times that will jump start the bedroom act kinda like a man locked up in jail and then let out

This is actually what im doing with my WC Aul Lwanda quad. One I have 1-2 of the females holding ill put the male into my 125 till I get the fry and the females fatten back up again. By the time I put him back in there within a week ill have a holding female. Once I have to many fry ill leave the male in the 125 till I sell/trade some of the fry.
