Synodontis Catfish are excellent tankmates to go with African Cichlids. They are nocturnal but come out at various times during the day to play. They do a great job cleaning any uneaten food left behind. They like to be in a colony, but can be kept by themselves. Just be careful when treating with medicines because they are scaleless and quite sensitive to it. I normally dose at half the recommended dose for twice as long. They complete the African Rift Lake set up.

The Synodontis Angelicus is my favorite but for safety with smaller fish I like the Synodontis Petricola

Angelicus is taking an early lead. I probably should have posted pics of them.

I like the multipunctatus? because they look like little sharks.

The reason I like Synodontis Nigriventris is they look upside down. Very different and whimsical

I like the multipunctatus the best; my wife also thinks they look like little sharks.
Their breeding habits are very interesting, and I can't wait to see if it ever happens in my tank.
