There is another aquarium builder on another channel, but can't remember what the name of it is right off . They built two 20+ foot aquariums as the backstop for the new Miami Marlins baseball field. They had to encase them behind a bullet proof material to keep foul balls from breaking the tanks. To me this would be a pretty stupid place for such nice tanks, but I guess if would be really neat to see !!

That sounds like a silly place to me too, as every time the ball hit the plexiglass it would spook the heck out of the fish in the tank. If anyone finds it written about, or finds pic's of it, please share here. Thanks.

Hmm, funny that Tanked had an episode for the exact same team I think? In that episode the team lost the sponsor for it and they backed out. But they gave ATM the bus and they made that into an aquarium... I must see this one you are talking about

I serched the satilate this morning looking for the name and exact channel, but didn't see it coming on today or this evening, but I will find it again and let everyone know ! I haven't seen them do any of the really cool tanks like they do on "Tanked" as far as design. They so far are mostly the rectanglur tanks just in some odd places. They did do a really nice shark tank the other day and one really cool thing they did was they built the new Octopus tank for the Tennesse aquarium !! I thought it was neet because it might actually be one I might get to see !!

tlyons01, you are right the guys from Tanked did put in a bit for these tanks and according to the episode there are a few other big tank builders that were also in the running for this job. This show I am talking about is pretty cool, but no where near as good as Tanked because they use a lot more imagination plus they make the show fun to watch by cracking on each other all the time. Redneck is cool and can build anything so far !!!

Actually I just rewatches the episode of tanked that they were suppose to do it and from what they said on tv it was a minor league team. Tank Kings or whatever the name of the other show did it for the Florida Marlins which is a pro team.

I think any of us in the club would love to have either show build a tank for us

Yeah, I suppose that makes sense. It was a team, baseball. That was all I remembered.. That would be a mighty big tank, hard to keep clean I would imagine. Though I guess when they are that large there are systems in place for doing the maintenance we do at home

I reckon I ask the question incorrectly. I was unaware there were 2 diff. shows on 2 diff. networks. I meant to be asking, in this poll, about the show "Tanked" on "The Animal Planet", and typed it wrong. So,... as you vote, I reckon, let your answer apply to either show. Thank you for the valuable information on this. I personally have never seen "Fish Tank Kings", to date.

i have seen several shows of the FISH TANK KINGS and just about all of TANKED and i like tanked better because of what Tom said about them joking with each other. neither show gets in to the details of setting up a tank and adjusting the water before adding fish. guess that got left out when they had to cut it down time wise for the show.
