I would love to comend Plen Plex for making the biggest PEACE OF CRAP Casister filters!!!!!  Every time i clean them it is a pain in the butt to get them NOT TO LEAK!!!! I have 3 that i got on a deal... NO I KNOW WHY! sory for the rant but after 2 hours of screwing this this casister filter ,cleaning up water from all over my kitchen floor ,and coming very close to throwing it the street! I will NVR ,EVER buy anything else that Pen Plex makes... IMO thier HOB Sux dockey turds also!!!!... I am going to conver everything i have to AquaClear HOBs, and FX5s..... DONT BUY PEN PLEX cascade Casister filters unless you like Water outside your tank and not in it!!! Ok im done! ;D ;D Attachments:

That's so crazy to me. I have ran mine with not one issue for years. Got it for cheap(used at that) water flow is great and no leaks whatsoever.

I can't speak on the Cascade brand filters. Never had one.
But I have always believed there are good and bad products, although there are some good products that just have a lemon to appear in the sweet fruit from time to time.
Glen, maybe you got the lemon.

well i guess i got lucky lol, and got 3 Lemons... Rick im sure you had one fo these if you use to deal with Just Cihclids, because they are the ones that would push these filters. the 3 i got came from a guy who got them from there also... i have tried everything to fix them, changed all caskets, tried sealing with vasoline, and every time its a strugle. I need to take the one off my inside tank before i come home to a huge mess, and a pissed off wife.

Yeah that sucks Glen. I could understand if the Gaskets just needed to be replaced. If I had the luck you did with them after replacing the serviceable parts I would run the other direction also. Just give them to me before you throw them in the yard.  ------Sorry for jacking your thread Glen------------- Rick, You have been off for a while big guy!!!!!! It hasn't been the same without your witty rhetoric, a lot of things have happened. We have lost a few, we have gained a few. I made a lil progress on my DIY project and in the meantime started an Outlaw motorcycle club. Right now we are trying to build up some street cred, Im deciding if I want to let scooter drivers join, working on our official wave, and club stuff. For now we all have temp tattoos but I know a guy that will trade work for aquariums. I really think it will take off once I learn how to ride a motorcycle. |

He still cleans Aquariums for people, and he picks up fish from me when he sets up new one. He does not like to talk about Just Cichlids much because he kind of got screwed form the whole thing. That is really all mike did there was clean the tanks ,and help out in the store some times.
