Sorry Jess. I just knew it come from a fish store. I thought it was a good deal too. Will running it at 220 help? If we can find a swap for a smaller one, you will still be ahead of the game with all the valves with it

Glen, The pump should do great for you !!! I have one just like it and it runs quite as a mouse, but I also have 2 of the big ones and am using one of them right now. But I am running 130+ tanks with multible outlets in some of them and several deep tanks. I am hoping to build a new building in the spring so I can move everything out there. I have probally 30 + tanks in storage now and am wanting to put in several ponds down the center of the building. I am hoping the bigger blower will run everything I need, but if not I may be running two. I do the fish mostly to relax, give me purpose and keep my mind occupied, my doctor says they are what is keeping me going. But I believe they are whats going to kill me oneday, but atleast I will die happy. Can you imagine what my family is going to do when all this is dumped in their lap when I am gone !! They will probally want to dig me up and kick my butt !! LOL !!!

How many hp does the one you bought at the swap Jess have? How many tanks are you planning on running?
If you get close to out put, I would just add a couple extra sponges per tank, or trade it for a smaller one.

Jess, when you get ready to get started give me a call or have your husband to call me. There are a couple of tricks to a blower to make it pull less power. 270-339-2234 Thanks Tom

I have 1/2 of our garage closed in for my fish room. I have 70 tanks squeezed in, but some are 10's and 20's. Not all big tanks. I am floor to ceiling, all the way around 4 walls and down a middle isle. Tight.

Update: Hubby said it's 1/2 hp and he can rewire it for 220 and make a separate circuit (or something) for the garage. He said it will be alright and will only pull about 3.2 (amps or something like that). Sorry, don't know ANYTHING about electrical crap. He didn't seem too concerned about the amount of electricity...we'll see. HAHA
