Freezer is the most humane way I think, though always try your best to treat them.

How are the oscars? If they show ANY signs of not eating or being by themselves more than usual treat the entire tank. It's been a while and that stuff is contageous. My tropheus tank got infected. But they're better now! I did treat them all.

Oscars seem to be moody rascals anyway. I've had friends with oscars who say they will from time to time almost lay around on the bottom as if they're bored and waiting on something exciting to happen.

mine do that sometimes, there my fav fish. i did just buy enough meds online to treat the whole tank... that costs a pretty penny! so by treating the whole tank none should die from the meds right?

It's very unlikely the meds will have a bad effect on any of them. The biggest problem with treating the whole tank is the expense. If you move the sick fish to a small tank it takes much less to do the trick. If you're concerned that all the fish in the tank could be affected by the problem this one has, then by all means go ahead and treat the full tank. If it's not a big tank to start with, then there's no reason not to do it. Just be sure to remember to remove the charcoal or carbon from your filtration while treating because it will neutralize the medicine.

If it's a large tank, here's a tip I got from Jon for treating the entire thing: take the water down to 50% or so and treat for half the size of the tank. That way it doesn't cost as much. That's if the others end up seeming sick. If not, the hospital tank is the way to go.

If they don't seem at all sick then don't bother treating them. Just watch them.

I use the freezer method as well but only as a last resort. Some people use clove oil also.
As far as your GT. If it has white stringy poop it has internal parasites. Use something with praziquitile in it to treat it. I have used parasite clear several times with good results and it is cheap. I would up your water changes as well and test your water to make sure nothing is out of whack.
