I have been told that there are 2 different color morphs or color strains of the super red BN varieties being sold.
The german strain and the czech strain. The german strain is a lighter red but perfect coloration. The czech strain is a deep red but with more black spots.
Who can shed more light onto this, agree with it, or dispute it ?

i have both blood lines, the pr i bought one is from germany and the other is from czech then i bought the trio and im not sure where that blood line came from. i have found anoth pr of reds that they are the same sa mine for 200 if you want them

I have found both colors as juvies and more in my price range.
I just didn't know there were to color types.
I think I like the darker ones, but they are both very nice.

I may have found a source for a male L144 too.

i need some long fin L 144 breeders and sex doesn`t matter i can put them with my short fin breeding group

on the super reds if you buy fry and grow them out your looking at more then a yr before you will have fry to sell and recoop your money but if you buy a pr then in a month or two you will have fry

The super reds I am discussing buying are of 2 diff. strains and about 2".
The adults are going for $200 to $500 per pair, depending on the sellers.
Way to much for me. I have 2 kids in college and a teen still @ home, with 5 cars in the driveway.
The lone male LF L144 I had hoped for fell thru.
I have found some pairs of the same, but they are rather pricy as mated pairs.
I am only looking for the male.
So far no takers to send me info. or an offer, although I have ads on several sites looking for one.

My Male L144 source fizzled. I continue to search.
I have 8 super reds coming next week. About 1/2 grown, several months old. 4 of each strain and they are suppose to be true strains of each type species/color morph. Expensive, but I am excited about getting them, breeding them by the end of the yr. and having them to cross into others or each other if desired.
