ONE OF OUR MEMBERS IS HAVING A VERY DANGEROUS SURGERY TODAY, I THINK WE ALL SHOULD PRAY FOR TOM (TRADEWATER) HE IS HAVING A SURGERY WHERE THEY ARE GOING TO SHOT HOLES IN HIS HEART WITH A LAZER IT SOUNDS CRAZY TO ME BUT ITS HIS ONLY CANCE TO GET ANY BETTER. THIS SURGERY DOESN`T HAVE A VERY GOOD SUCCESS RATIO. I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW HOW IT TURNS OUT AS SOON AS I HEAR FROM HIS SISTER

I have researched several other sites on the web yesterday and today about this relatively new heart procedure, and it appears there is only a 6 to 10 % complication and/or morbibity rate, which is low; but, for the patient having the procedure that may sound high. This procedure, as I read it, that Tom had yesterday, is a last resort for patients who experience frequent angina and are not candidates for open heart bypass or heart transplants.

WOW !!! Terrific news that he made it through the surgery and recovery well !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am surprised he might come home so early though. The threads I read on the I.N. said a usual hosp. stay was 10 days to be sure of no complications like infections, etc... Keep us posted of any more news you hear on him. The same articles said if the operation was a success, after a few months, most patients said that they felt better than they had in yrs. and yrs.

Great news.
They won't let you stay in the hospital 10 minutes longer than you have to any more, even on the major stuff.
