Got a postcard today saying Aquarium Fish International magazine is stopping publication with the October 2012 issue and they are converting all remaining subscriptions to Dog Fancy.

From the increased pressure to advertise, I think the same will come of a couple of (cattle) farmers mags I've dealt with before. Our economy is stuck in the toilet and electing this guy or that guy isn't going to change it. Wait til food goes up 25% because of crop failures!

I have not received such a letter or postcard. I have taken this mag. for some 15 to 20 yrs. now and have a 5+ yr. subscription right now. This is crazy. Wonder why they would change it to a dog mag.? I don't even have a dog. I will have to contact them. Thanks for the heads up.
Does this only leave TFH mag. in publication in the US for fish ?

Dog Fancy must be from the same company and they're converting rather than refunding.

I'm, for refund, if no fish. Reckon I will call them to clear this up.

Here's the Fish Mag I read... it's bi-monthly and pricey as hell. Nice articles and amazing photos though. www.amazonasmagazine.com/

TFH has come a long way since my subscriptions in the past and is emerging as one of the few physical publications for aquarium fish printed in English. I don't know if this is open to everyone, but the ACA site has a code for discounting their subscriptions to $20 a year. If nothing else, Mo Devlin is a regular contributor to their photographic needs and his work is spectacular. Personally, I have adored and collected Cichlid News and the ACA Buntbarsche Bulletin a long time, but they are just for cichlid geeks!

I have gotten TFH for three or four years now. Currently have a stack of them a foot high to look at/read. Hopefully I'll get around to it soon!
