As you all will see today, your officers have created and posted the rules/policies, species list, and submission form for the MCAA BAP program that has been so diligently worked on for many man hours by your MCAA BAP Committee and club officers.
You can print any or all of the information you desire and we hope every club member and forum participant will print the submission form and plan to enter fry from whatever species of fish you are breeding. There are awards to be given for your achievements and willingness to share your information and fry or parents with the rest of our group.
Participation, again, is the key to this newest project on any level of species you so desire to share with your fellow MCAA friends !!! Participation is the key to all of the projects offered by the MCAA, so please look over the new board, print if desired, and plan to submit your fry and forms to Scott and lets get this breeding program off the ground with a bang !!!
And, don't forget to thank you MCAA BAP committee members and MCAA officers for many long hours of hard work to get this program going for all of you !!!

The fall swap/meet is being planned, but a location to have it is still up in the air. There are fellow members of yours looking for, talking to, calling, and pursuing church or public/private business locations for you in the Nashville area.
If any of you can ask your work, your church, your local businesses that you drive by every day, etc..., we need a location and you all are the key to helping find an indoor location for us for Oct. if possible.
Please contact me or another board member if you have questions and we will help as we can to supply additional info. Ideally the price would be -0- for us, but we could afford $50 to $100 if necessary.
The Nash. Zoo was to expensive, the Adventure Science Ctr. was avail. only @ night, the Nash. public parks were to expensive and only outside, the State parks were unavailable, and a couple of downtown hotels were to expensive.
I am sure there is a place in Nash., but one of you all must find it for us ! All of you know folks to ask, so please do so !!! A phone call to ask can only give you a yes or no answer, so please rack your brains and help out the whole club !!!
Can I count on several of you to ask around for us this week ?

Also, the awards levels and specific awards to be given, are being finalized, and will be announced soon in/on the MCAA BAP board in the same place you will find all of the info. about the policies, species list, and submission forms.
Remember... There are NO dumb questions here ! If you don't understand the process, or any details whatsoever,..... ASK !!!

My. Juliet community center- The newest addition to the community center is our meeting room. The room is a 2650 square foot multi-purpose room. Exercise classes such as, Yoga and Pilates are held each week. The room is also available for rental. If you are interested in having a birthday party, wedding/baby shower, business meeting, or family reunion please feel free to book a date today. The room comes equipped a kitchen (sink, cooler, freezer, and ice machine), tables and chairs. www.cityofmtjuliet.org/cityofmtjulietmeetingroom.cfmI will personally pay $20 out of my own pocket. I can have bonfire at farm after. When time comes and you are meeting in a bad location in a rough part of town, don't blame me!

This community Ctr. sounds like a nice place, but I am hoping the 3 or 4 members of our club that are on this task can find us an acceptable place this week for a lesser amt.. I recognize they may not, but we can hope. I have a lead on a fellowship hall @ a church in downtown Nash. with free parking that might be less, and another lead on a comm. ctr. location in Bellevue that sounds like the one you are describing Jon. More info. to follow as the week progresses. Great find, BTW. Let's keep them all of these in mind over the next few days to see what all materilizes. I do believe a location will be found that doesn't have to be in a bad part of town, and no blame will have to be thrown in any direction, not that I would do that anyway. I would hope no one here would do that either.

I still hope EVERYONE OF YOU will be mindful of this situation and get with me over the next few days to give me contact info. and your suggestions. I believe there are still several of you that hold a terrific key of a location if you will only step up to be a part of this situation your club is facing right now. I can tell you with complete confidence that this is a hard project to achieve and needs input from several of you !!! Again, I am counting on several of you helping out !!! Let me hear from you please. I am as close as a P.M., e-mail, text, or ph. call.

I am now motioning to submitting it for official vote before you get ahead of yourself. When you get location, it needs to be voted on by club. I saw you might be looking at bellvue too, and we need to get a few places and times and have vote.
I am officially submitting mt. Juliet community center to be vote on by club.

Just my 2 cents, but I would prefer anywhere other than downtown. Being from small town Alabama, all that traffic stresses me out lol. Also what day will the meet be held on? The reason I am asking is that most likely I will drive up the day before and stay in Franklin.. Oh If I do happen to have yellow lab fry to get rid of, what would be the best way to get them up there and keep them safe? thanks guys!

Shouldnt be much traffic on a sat or sunday unless there is a ball game. it would be a bad idea to be downtown when titans play. (I might accidentally end up at game) It will be on a Sat or Sun between Early Oct. to mid Nov. Otherwise we will have to call it winter swap, which may be what it ends up being.

The usual time for our Fall swap/meets has been in mid to late Oct.. I hope we don't run into Nov., but it is possible.
Part of the resons would be if you or our fellow members do not find us a location to meet; but Jon has found us one; it's just that it would be closer to $175 in the event we had the room for 5 hours as we have done the last couple of swap/meets. Rather pricy for our limited club funds, but a good location if all else fails. Their web site lists $35/hr. I turned down a location a few days ago for $40/hr because your officers had voted and told me a yr. ago that a $200 fee for a hotel downtown was out of the quesion r/t price.
I am still holding out hope for some of you all to be telling me of locations to call or visit this week !!!
I have 3 locations to pursue already this week, and want more to choose from !!!!!
My experience has shown me that for every 4 or 5 or 6 I call or visit, there is one that is worth pursueing, so I still need all of you !
Please step up forum participants and club members.

BTW,...the downtown location @ a church, if it works out, has plenty of free parking and traffic should be to a minimum as Jon said, simply because it is the weekend. A Titan's game could create some traffic, but this is multiple blocks from their arena, so there should not be a conflict.

$35 * 4 hrs $140- $20 cash donated by rift valley exotics= $120 + park + after swap bonfire
I await a better proposition. If a place would have been found a month ago I wouldn't be so pushy, but community center only has one date open so if we don't act quick it will be gone.
I am fine with a good downtown location, but would still like a vote. I would prefer to keep it in one spot so we don't have to throw it together last minute all the time. We should know at this swap when and where next swap will be. We can then actively promote it as a club.
The way we do it now, there is no good way to advertise or plan.

Time is short, advance announcement will allow more people to plan and schedule. Long term, we need a consistent and inexpensive place but until/unless we go to monthly meetings, the cost issue is mostly mute. I vote yes for the Mt Juliet Community Center.
