9.07.2012 6PM at the Bon Air Library. The LTFF is an all species club, the auction wasn't enormous but has had a wide variety the last couple of times I went. No it isn't all cichlids, in fact cichlids have been in the minority IME-guppies, anabantids, other livebearers, lots of plants. They do a great job of soliciting dry goods manufaturers' donations as well, used tanks have sold cheaply too. Good folks there, prices are pretty good. I'm planning to go and take a few fish, buy a few. I think this is the most local club outside of the MCAA area. This is a great destination for a carpool-road trip from the Nashville folks. before complaining about the fact it is a Sunday PM event, remember the Cinci meetings, GCCA Auctions and ACA auction always start or reach into the PM of Sundays.

Follow up report: I estimated 200 bags/lots all told, MANY were donated items from manufactures and two local fish sellers. 39 buyers and about 25 sellers, started about 40 minutes late and we left 1/2 way through at about 9 pm. Prices were fairly low by auction standards, variety was excellent, fancy livebearers, beautiful guppies, yes some cichlids, good selection of plants, about 30-40 lots of donated foods and used/new dry goods. I bought an adult colony of Synodontis Petricola that was pre-arranged, 4.2 (shorthand for 4 males, 2 females) of Moliwe Kribensis (beautiful and purple), another group of odd Kribs, Robersonii and overpaid for some swordtails my son just HAD to have All in all, a good auction and IMHO, better than the Missouri one that was 6.5 hour drive each way.
