What are your guys' thoughts on setting up a biocube 14 as freshwater? I don't have the money to do a sw setup right now, and I've got a betta that I can put in there and maybe do a school of tetras or something. Or is it just not worth it to do a fw setup in something so small.
I would be replacing my current 5gal hex with this, just fyi. Thoughts?

Definitely worth it. I wouldn't devote it to a Betta if it were me, but a small school or small mated pair like KY said.
Bio cubes often get labeled as for SW/reef, but cool as FW and/or planted tank as well. Planted tank with 15 or so cardinal tetras would be cool.

Any of the Apisto's or Krib's too is an idea. Would look good planted as mentioned above. If you have a female Betta, it might be a good tank to spawn them in as well, although most folks use 2, 5, & 10 gal. tanks for this.
