A double question on Betta fish.
The first 5 answers to choose from are about your experience or history of keeping Betta fish.
The last two answer choices are about your opinion of keeping the Betta fish, primarily the males in those small bowls we all see them in.

I have always heard that bettas don't mind the little bowls (more like jars at most stores) because they just hang out at the surface anyway. I have two male bettas in a 10 gallon aquarium, separated with a divider, so they have 5 gallons apiece. They swim all over the place and neither one hangs out at the top except when they are feeding. My opinion is that keeping them in the little jars is cruel.

8 voters ? Not even all the officers ? PARTICIPATION IS THE KEY ! IMHO, of course.  To my best count there have been 52 separate forum users on our forum over the last week, club member and non club member. Everyone can participate, so most are not. Again,...IMHO participation is the key. I will close this thread/poll now and open another. Maybe more of you would like to be a part of the next fun poll. It sure would be nice if you decided to be anyway................... :-) |
