I have just been in contact with RICK EASTERLY .The reason he hasn`t been on here lately is he has 2 sons that was VERY sick .One had a surgery and then had another one and just as he got him home his other son o.ded and was flown to the hosp. where they have him on a ventilator. They have been for the last several days .They think he may be brain dead but they are running test tomarrow to check an see.All Rick said was to let everyone on the forum know and to ask all of you to please pray for him and his family. We all need to rally around the easterly family in this time sadess and keep them all in our prayers.

I texted Rick yesterday. He said his one son (19) is doing great after his surgery and it sounded like will be fine. The second one (30) is a different matter, still in very serious and critical condition.
Continued thoughts and prayers for this family.

My oldest son, 30, is doing poorly. He either overdosed on purpose or accidentally, I don't know if we will ever know for sure. He was found hours after his OD, suffered cardiac arrest, was flown to a Chatta. hosp., and remains there. His response to verbal and painful stimuli is basically non-existent, his pupils are not responding, he responds to no sounds, and he remains on a ventilator to breathe. The Doc's on his case tell me to rule out nothing that the human body can recover from but to be realistic that deficits have occurred in his brain, and that there may be to many to recover from. it is a waiting game now. Christmas is basically on hold here....... Prayer is in our moment to moment lives and conversation about this seems to be never ending... Thanks to those of you who have contacted me via e-mail, PM, text, and phone to wish him well. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers for God's will to take place. His wife and 4 yr. dtr. are holding their breathe and waiting too. Thanks. Rick
BTW...my dtr and her medical issues last summer have resolved nicely, for those of you that knew of that;... and the 19 yr. old that had complications after surgery and required additional surgery and additional hospitalization, has recovered nicely now.
Sorry I've been away a while......they say things happen for a reason and we must figure out the reason.....I hope to be with you all more very soon.
