Spring Swap Info

Location: Rift Valley Exotics--- 822 Cooks Rd Mt. Juliet, TN 37122

Event: Potluck/ BYOB

Other: BAPS/ Club Auction- All bags submitted for this auction will have a $1 fee to help cover the cost of set up and all else spent upfront to hold auction if submitted to Officer for listing by May 1. Anything over $1 seller keeps. If brought day of swap $1 minimum and 10% over a $10 sell rounded to nearest $ in sellers favor. After this one time event, hopefully all will be back in order and auction split will be per By-Laws. This auction will be open to all, buy and sell. No charge to buy, $1 per bag to sell if submitted for listing before May 1.

There will also be a sign up sheet that begins May 1 for food, drink, dessert, utensils, etc. to bring. May even do a want to buy list so sellers may be enticed to bring certain fish. Will have a few activities for kids such as Basketball, football, bubbles, I don't know what else but I am open to ideas.

Feel free to keep this thread going with any ideas you have for how to make this a great swap to rebound for the future.

What about tables to put our stuff on or sell at the swap table fees or bring own table. Glad about the spot and already a date. i will be their I am missing my fish buddys.

I think due to lack of space we will just have auction, but if you want to sell off a table you can bring own table and set up on driveway.

Jon are we going to charge $1 for a bag of fry if its for the BAPS ?

If we want any type of reward for BAP 100% goes in BAP fund. If all we want is to keep up with it, no plaques or whatever, then we can do $1 per bag.

May 18 get together at my place is still on. i am going to post on several other forums and facebook. Please invite everyone you can and post on other websites. We will have a swap/auction but main focus of meeting will be figuring out where to go from here, what to do about rick, and how to grow. I will be able to dedicate more time to this after swap, but we need a face to face meeting with all members to get input for moving forward.

Rift fish is fully stocked. If I get more fish they will be living in bathtubs. Swap on the 18th is still a go. I will start spreading the word this weekend.
