Any news on people bringing stuff to auction, etc.?
I'm going to attempt to rally a few others from Knoxville.

I will definitely be out of town working on a five day job, so I can't turn it down. Sorry to miss it!

I'm in a similar boat... Spending ~$50 in gas and half a day driving is a decent investment on a Saturday. It would be great to know who was planning on coming, and if there was going to be any sort of auction, etc.

There will be an auction, even if it is small. I made an announcement on cichlid-forum. i will post on a couple more forums.
As far as food, just bring chips, drinks, dessert, or finger foods.
If everyone brings a new person, we should have a decent turn out. If you are coming from a ways off, shout it out on the chat and maybe carpooling is an option.
Plan on it being laid back. I will have a sale, and i have a lot of dry goods for auction. I will throw a few good fish in as well. I plan to start auction at 2:30 and have a club pep talk after that.

All is ready for meet tomorrow. I will supply bbQ or hamburgers/ If it rains, we will have auction and eat in other garage. I have a ton of dry goods I am letting go cheap to get rid of clutter. 20% off all fish tomorrow only.

Spring swap was great. Had BBQ sandwiches, chips, cookies. Lots of fish talk. Plans made for future growth. Lots of fish and dry goods sold at low, low prices or given away free. I know brian gave away some great fish, and $75 filters were selling for $5-10. I had a great time.

It was a great time. Didn't know we were eating and ended up with Jon supplying and cooking 5 lbs of bbq.....mmmmm it was good. Got to chat with a few old friends and also made some new ones. Also a couple people saw the ad of CL and just showed up so was good to see new interest in the club. Fish wise I saw people walk away with prices I have NEVER seen from there before. For those of you that didn't show up you missed out on some great deals. It was good to see some new interest in the club and hope we can take that and turn it into a start of building this club the way it once was or better. Thanks for having us Jon.
