How about a nice decent sized black Calvus? Shipping may kill me though. LFS has some of those Fahaka puffers, they get BIG.

these come from africa. They need clean water. My parameters are same as africans 7.6 pH, 76 degrees, . The congo puffer needs a lot of water movement and sand.

They like it a degree or two cooler anyway because they are deeper water fish.

Even for breeding? I thought they liked it about 83-85 for breeding and quick growth.

I may be able to get a few free tomorrow afternoon late Tues the 17th. Anychance you could post a pic of the Flat flyer since we seem to be on totally opposite schedules lol

David- fronts, especially the southern variants like their water 76-78. If you were trying to power grow, 80. I dont try to grow fish over an inch out because I run out of room. In summer my tanks are 78-80 in winter they are75-76.
This is mainly due to utility bill and amount of humidity I get if it gets 80 or more.
