Jon, you might have eggs sooner than we thought based on the last picture. The male looks like he's doing a little "flexing" for his girl!!!

His forehead looks flushed out in the pic so it might be happening. Thats one of the signs just before breeding.

Oh, thought you had a divider in the tank. Well, they were in with the Heckeli when I had them and laid eggs a few times but I think the other tankmates devoured the eggs before the pair could pick them up. Just a matter of time for them to get settled and choose a spawning site.
How are you liking the pool filter sand?

Don't know bout anyone else but we tried pool filter sand and love it! I'd like to switch all the tanks over to it.

I love it too, though a pleco can make a mess of it quick! All the poop stays on top of it. Two days after a WC, there will already be a pile of it in the corner of the tank. But the geos really love it.

Ah ha!!! Congrats!!!! They are larvophilous mouthbrooders Jon. They will pick up the eggs in about 1.5-2 days and you will usually not see them free swimming for another 3-5 days. I would suggest taking the fry out once they have been free swimming for a day or two unless you have a way to get food directly to the fry.
Just curious, what did they spawn on?
