Bought her at the Critter. She was supposed to be a Red Fin Borleyi, but I don't see as much resemblance as I'd expected. Now I have no idea what fish I have! Anyone know?

I can't tell. So I called the Critter and they went to check the tank and tell me what else was in there. Came back and said all the borleyi were gone(not what I asked) and asked me to describe the fish which I did and the guy said oh yeh that's a female red fin borleyi alright. I give up on them! How can they tell based on a description over the phone and why would I trust them when they sold me the fish in the first place as something I think it isnt? doh

I would wait til it colors a little- as tomtom said there are a lot of different types, and it is almost impossible to tell right now. I can tell you it is not a red fin. At that size they would be darker with more color on the fins.

Well here I go getting another fish! It likes the champsochromis a lot. Thinks they're pals.

I hope I like it when it gets color. Since it could be a male too!

When it colors up post me a pic and I'll look it up, but until I have a little more to go by I would be making an uneducated guess. I have bought a couple of things there that were mislabeled, but with so many similar species, it happens.

Went back to the Critter tonight and looked in the tank this fish came from. The other two things in the tank are red zebra and copadichromis chrysonotus. There we go! That's what it'll be.
