Can more than one mother-to-be share an isolation tank? Or will they pick on eachother?

It matters what the species. Most Malawi's would be fine. You would have to strip fry and remove after birth because she would attack the other mother. Until then they should both avoid each other.

I was thinking firefish and tiny acei together in one tank, fulu and tram in another(they get along in the big tank). And kenyi and red zebra in a third.

Would that work with a metriaclima fainzilberi- lundo island? Also would the fry attack the other fry?
Thanks Rico

I haev like 5 different kinds of fry living in the same tank right now and they all get along. I think probably they don't know what kind of fish they are that young. They just know they're afraid of the hand! But that soon changes too. The month old fry are heads out of the water when I open the lid to feed.

Fry only attacks other fry if one is way bigger than the other for the most part. I have never had any issue.
