I wish I could have gotten a little sharper pic of this guy. He is one of 2 prized males that I have raised since they were less than 1"! I can't believe how huge he has gotten. I think he is guarding eggs...sigh...these guys only have one thing on their minds! ;D This is one of his ladies: I am surprised that there are 2 sub-dom males in this tank (it's a 29 and BNs can be pretty territorial). I am definitely bringing them to the swap! One brown and 1 albino. There a couple other smaller ones that I think are females, since they aren't showing any bristles. I think the L. callipterus that moved in have eaten the little ones they had. Young usually don't survive in this tank, whereas I have at least 20 young in the 29 above them.

Albino bushy nose pairs and trios sell like they're gold plated up here at club auctions. I'm going to have to quit pinching my pennies and buy some one of these days. Really cool looking fish!

I really can't emphasize enough how they breed like rabbits! Very very easy. Just make sure to have some pleco caves, either natural or man made, for the male to guard the eggs and induce the female to spawn. These are less than 2 years old (got them in Jan. or Feb. of 2007 I think) so they mature pretty quickly.
