I'm not sure what to do. It appears that my Frontosa has a swim bladder problem. He tries hard to swim down but inevitably floats back to the surface. I tried putting holes in the bottom of a bigger tupperwear and keeping it at the top of the tank with the Frontosa in it to segregrate it in hopes of it eating the peas I tried feeding it, but it won't eat them. I'm not sure if that's what I'm supposed to do but I read that somewhere online that peas might work. Anyone have any suggestions?

Mark can help. It sounds like float. I have had a couple in the past get it from gulping air at the surface. Mine died a few days after. I will PM mark your post and see if he knows any tricks that could help.

I have also heard that peas are a temporary fix but won't fix the problem completely.
Haven't had any fronts with it, but have had some others die from this as well.

Check out frontosa.com and cyphos.com. In extreme cases, some people have had to insert a needle to drain the air! Has this fish been stressed lately? The normal attempt to cure float is to add salt to the tank and turn the lights off. What type of frontosa is it? Is it wild caught? Do you feed floating pellets? Give me as much info as you can and I will call "the expert". The following is from the frontosa.com forum, I quote "I would keep him in the main tank, but watch if he got pick on by the other males. If that is the case you have no choice but to move him. I would add 1.5 cup salt per 100 gallon for 3 days and daily water change. No food and lights for a week. Repeat if needed." That would be Epsom Salt!
