I fish quite a bit. I caught a flathead out of Watts BAr several years ago that went over 50 lbs.

Not for the faint of heart. I've seen it on TV.

I don't think they're flatheads, though. Here's a pic from a few yrs ago, my boston is modeling to give you an idea of size (she's about 17-18 lbs)

those are blue cats. They are the largest cats we get around here. My personal best is 62lbs and I was 15yrs old at the time. so over half my life ago. Largest flat head I have ever caught was about 50lbs and was in same area but about 7 years ago. other than that have tons of 20-30lbs under my belt but not in a good while. largest I have caught past 2 years was only about 20lbs and was a blue cat also. I have never fish with a trot line. I have thought of trying it though.
