Everyone knows right now my main project is getting my 125g straight with my male haps/peacocks. Im interested to know what everyone else is doing. Breeding, 3d backgrounds, building a stand, planted tank or whatever else you are doing. Share pictures through out your process here. Maybe we can keep this a continues thread. Ill post a picture of what my 125g looks like tonight.

At the moment I'm just fish-watching and doing partial water changes . I need to set up something for my homeless Julies, but I may just see if glen would be willing to take them on consignment . I also need to build a stand for my daughter's 10-gallon snake tank. -Rick (the armchair aquarist)

My next project will be getting the 55 gallon Metaframe cleaned up and then set up. It will replace my 70 gallon corner tank, which will then be for sale. Start saving so you can buy it!

Well its i bluff im not going to put to test. With 10 tanks im good till i buy my house in 3 years plus if it isnt a bluff i would have to give up the hobby to pay child support for my 4 boys lol. Not a risk i want to take.

Besides continual maintenance duties that never end, I am looking to buy a couple dozen yoyo loaches for snail control, and I am working on a new CO2 set up for my 135 in order to try to gain better plant growth. (And I spend a lot of time here too.) Since I love this hobby and always have, none of this time spent is a big deal, as I would rather be here doing fish stuff, or in my fish room doing fish stuff, than just about any other sport or time spent elsewhere. ( Except for with family of-course !_) ( I spend a lot of time working too though. Between the 2 jobs, I put in an average of 65+/- hours per week)

I'm considering getting rid of my mbunas in my 125 and moving the Red Devil and Jack Dempsey I have in a 55 in the garage into the 125 so I can get rid of the 55.

Hmmmm projects. Well when the weather warms up Im sealing my 125 Acrylic, but over the next few weeks I will be working on a dual tank, dual waterfall set-up im currently laying out in my head. Of course I will start a thread as soon as I can decide on a 2x4 versus metal welded custom frame. I still have lots of fine details to work out. For starters it has to break down to fit through a doorway, I need a clever way to utilize the bulkheads for waterfall and return to sump I'll probably make out of an old tank. It is pretty much going to be 2 50 gal breeders overlapping each other with a waterfall from the sump and top tank flowing into the bottom tank. I will be using styrofoam to do a faux rock cover on the outside that should look natural and house plants. When I get my thread started I will definitely be looking for suggestions and critiques.

Crown molding and chair rails make a room. It's like weed eating after you mow or having the barber trim after the cut, or adding plants after the rocks and wood in the tank. Finishing touches just add glamor. House looks great !
I am using one of those clear plastic diffuser things that suctions to the tank wall, under the output of the return filter hose and pushing the current and Co2 bubbles across the tank towards the tank substrate. This is a work in progress too, as I have a small cheap model from a local chain store of a Co2 tank for a trial. If this works, I will be investing in a much better and more expensive set-up. Don shared with me the basics, and I am playing right now. I have never used Co2 before until now. Started this project last week. So far-so good.
