I still have a little less then 3 weeks before I go back to work and I really dont know what to do for once. Im usually doing 3 projects at once and now im doing NONE. What are some inexspensive projects you all can think of?
I have been thinking about making styrofoam rocks, but exactly what would I need. Styrofoam (any certain kind?) Paint (would I need a certain kind of paint) Quickcrete (im guessing this is what I would use so the rock wouldnt float)
If you could help me out with that and maybe any other little tank projects. I think DIY makes this hobby so much better then it already is.

I would skip the paint in favor of concrete colours. Alot of people have had favorable results with drylok instead of quickcrete, as well.
As far as styrofoam, I would go with pink or blue, and avoid the white stuff with visible beads. You might also want a tube of silicone (I lean towards GE Silicone I Door and Window).

If I did this project does drylok come in different colors? For example like a redish color if I wanted to do lava rock?

I believe it comes in white, but you can color it with concrete colors. You would want the acrylic or latex based one, btw, not the oil based one.

Well I went to Lowes yesterday and had the drylok in my hands and decided not to do this project. They had white styrifoam (beaded) and some weird blue. Didnt want the white and the blue was $45 and im not trying to spend that much. Once I use the concrete colors, acrylic or latex, I dont need to seel that? The acrylic or latex would be safe for the fish? Were would I find the concrete colors.
