Thanks. See how the females aren't white-faced? and there's a lot of orangey tones to him. I love these! He's in non-breeding dress now. The pinks come out more when he's on the prowl.

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have him anymore. He got stuck in an ornament he couldnt' get out of. But I hope to have another like him some day.

I wonder why they suddenly started calling tangerines, Firefish. I had these same fish years ago and they were called tangerines.
They have changed the names of so many of these fish. Angel, I had one almost just like this one. If I still have a pic I will post it. Unfortunately my hard drive crashed. I lost 12,000 pictures. DUH!!! Back them up stupid.. I have a external hard drive.

breeders keep line-breeding them to try and differentiate themselves and specialize in certain colors. i've seen the term strawberry used as well. it is almost a bit silly.
