Got em! They're like 5 or 6 weeks old now. Halfway to jar time?

I'd think so. A little tough to tell exactly how their colors will turn out. But they should be past the danger of pneumonia stage by then I think.

Tina,
Do You see a couple of males in some of these pictures?
If not, look at picture # two lower right and lower left.

The ones that have the lower hanging fins that more match the tail size? With a distinct point?

Joe, are they past the point where their labyrinth organ isn't developed? I've had two males get killed. I'm thinking if they are I'll separate out the obvious ones.

It should be developed at this age. Do you see them going to the surface of the tank getting air? if so you should be fine. The only thing you will have to worry about is them jumping out of the jars and keeping the water clean. Also put separators in-between the jars so they can not see each other. This will make them flare when you remove them.

Yes they stay at the surface a lot. And they try to nip my hand when I put it in the water! They're brave. Never swim away from anything. At least it's fun, considering it'll be the only time I do this.

Oneyoda, I have some that are big enough to be on their own after all. So if you want, you can check them out! Their colors are still developing, and they change a little every day. They already have personality too. Or is that fishinality?
