Has anyone ever had the madagascar fish that's black and has what looks like twinkly stars all over it? Paratilapia Polleni. I've seen very little about it but wondered if it was kept in the hobby.

Angel honey, they are not little they get 10 inches and can be a little aggressive. Prett fish at any rate. Yes some people on Cichlids have kept them.

I know they get big--that's why I haven't asked how I can get one. But I love how they look.

They are hard to get, and they do best in a species tank

I bought one from Aquatic Critter several years ago and kept him with some oscars. He did well and was a beautiful fish.

I've gotten three. They're doing great. And Jon picked up some nosibeensis at the ACA Convention which I bought from him as well. I love them all.
