We still don't want to expect too much, but here's the hatch announcement we've been waiting to make: our little apple snail pod was indeed fertile, and today 58 pomacea bridgesii were delivered by cesarean section The pod was drying a lot, and there were white spots. Some of them were broken away and little snails were visible inside but not moving. We thought they were all dead. I broke the pod into pieces and released them into a net suspended in their tank. Hours later, I took out the net and put them in a small tray, and antennae started to pop out. Then they were moving! They're now in their own algaefied tank, and we're hoping for the best.

That's great news! I want some when they are ready to be sold.
