I can't wait to see! I love the Tropheus Duboisi with their spots but saw them in Aquatic Critter at full size in their show tank and was in awe of them too. I need more Trophs!!

Hi Angel, I can not think of a troph I don't like.
I generally recommend 12 juv in at least a 55 gallon tank. then as they grow only keep 2 males and all females you get. this setup will give you a good number of fry. with more then a couple of males they will fight and kill each other. Now the bigger the tank the more males you can have. I had a 210 gallon with I think 6 males and about 14 females and did not have a problem. Each male had his own area of the tank and all was good.
I am now raising 13 -1" Trophs sp red Moliro. They are now about 1 1/2" and starting to show red color in the body.

And how does one tell the males from the females? I have an empty 55 waiting for something. These could be the thing! Right now my 4 live in the 125 with mbunas. They're almost all juvies tho.

They're doing SO great. I'm glad I didn't chicken out. I want more, more and more!! They're so roly-poly. And I love their eyes. It works out to let them live with the mbuna because they all love the veggie type food. Neptune especially loves the green pellets you hooked me up with. I'll keep getting that--he has a routine to get me to pull out the bag. It's cute!
