I picked up my L134's today. They are stunning! They are only 1 1/2 inches long, so it will be a while before I know what I have. Three of them are noticably larger, so I hoping the two smaller ones will be females. I hope to get some pictures of them later, but here's a link that has some great pictures of L134's. www.plecoplanet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1752

I found a lady in Georgia that only had five left out of her last spawn. I drove about 500 miles, round trip today, to pick them up. She also had some zebra pleco's that she is trying to spawn. Hasn't had any luck with them yet. They looked a little to young to me. Hopefully, before long, I'll be able to get a few of those once they spawn.

Finally, after a long wait, my L134's are showing signs of possible breeding. There's a lot of activity going on around the breeding cave's. You can see the tail's of a couple sticking out of the cave's in the picture below.

I'll keep you posted. I hope this isn't just a dry run! LOL.... I've tried to shine a flash light into the cave to see if there are any eggs, but I can't see in there for the plant. I don't want to disturb the breeding cave's at this time, so I'll just wait and hope.

These L134's are crazy. I would have bet that we had a spawn, but it was another false alarm! Maybe next time.

Mine usually didn't have any bristle's at all if they were female, although I did spot a few that had a couple near the back of their lower jaw. Nothing at all on top or front. All of my males have grown a lot faster than my females though, so it's possible that it could be a female. If you see any bristles out front or on top it's probably a male. I had a first this week. I had a female that was no more than 2 inches long lay eggs. She was fat as mud and trying to get in the breeding tube with my large male. He kicked her out every time. She finally got in another tube with a younger male and laid a small cluster of probably 30 to 40 eggs. I've never had one this size lay eggs.
