What is the best brand of fish food? I have yellow labs, and I know they like veggies, but what brand makes the best?

As far as flakes, Omega One seems to be a good food. But Jon sells a veggie pellet that my yellow labs think is the only food on earth. They refuse everything else. I have no idea what brand it is, but if it wasn't excellent for them Jon wouldn't feed it to his fish or sell it.

Angel, I'd agree about the food Jon sells. I got some in "change" when picking up some fish a few months ago. They eat it well and the best part was that there was almost no waste! I didn't get any of that fuzz that comes from bits of food sitting on the bottom of the tank. The tanks were a lot cleaner.
I have been feeding my gourami tank the food as well and they love it.

Hey! You have gouramis! Do you have room for two more?

Remember, too, I have platies. As many as you like. I think the albino cats are ok in the mbuna tank downstairs at least they are so far, but the platies and gouramis need homes. And some tetras and danios.

I know I'm off topic. So back to the food--I never saw that fuzz til feeding the jewels and gave them some soft pellets with krill. What a mess!

I got some food from Jon and all of my fish love it. I think it is very close to NLS food

Oscar pellets will work very well. Any large cichlid pellet will work for the bigger fish. I feed mine earth worms as well. Labs are mbuna's so try some frozen green peas and spirulina flakes as a change of pace.

Just a note- for Africans stay away from feeding blood worms or brine shrimp except for an occasional treat. I would not ever feed them the beef heart.

I like the Hakari cichlid gold flotting pellets. All though I also use sinking shrimp pellets for my few stubborn fish that won't come to the top.

Most of my fish turn their noses up at shrimp pellets and are too lazy to grab floating ones. It gets on my nerves.
