Well my neighbors house burned down today. I live in a duplex and it was the end duplex next to mine, on the other side of my next door neighbor. His house has damage the heat was so intense it blew out some of his windows and melted his siding. And warped his deck. The house that burned is a total loss and it went so fast. I was in a panic for a bit (me and my anxiety attacks LOL). That all started at about 1 pm and the firetruck was just called back for smoldering and smoke for the 2cd time. Now I will not sleep well tonight till I know that fire is out for sure. What a crap day and it started out so good too.
I wouldn't have even known about it except I was doing water changes and suddenly the water was milky coming out of the sink. Well I turned it off and heard trucks in the street. So I figure the water dept was messing with the fire hydrant. Nope I walked out my front door to tons of black smoke and 5 firetrucks. My dogs are worthless not one of them even barked and there was hose and firemen in my driveway. I had the blinds closed so I saw nothing and I hear sirens all of the time with the fire station just down the road from us.
The bottom line is an idiot who lives there put their cigarette out in a pot of mulch on the back balcony. That is where is started. No one in the house was injured but I saw 2 firemen taken out on gurneys. I heard that they fell through the roof.
It might be on the news tonight. I think channel 4 was the one out here.
Just wanted to share what my day turned out like. I hope everyone had a lot better day today.
