I finally got a half way decent picture of the new batch of fire fin babies. The parents are taking very good care of them. I was watching the female feeding them. So now they are all over the tank in the gravel ect and driving the parents nuts when I look in on them. Boy if that male was half as brave when my hand goes into the tank I would be more afraid. The female on the other hand will charge me and bite. LOL We always knew that females are meaner than males. Look hard because they blend in with gravel.

Are you expanding with more grow-out tanks?

yup, I will have a 45 breeder and 30 gallon long ready in the week for more grow out tanks. I counted 30 babies just out around the cave. There are more in other areas by the cave too so probably as many as the first brood and they seem to be growing faster by leaving them in with the parent.

So many babies! So are they happy with you again?

I guess so. Although they see me as a threat to their babies. I was doing the water change very carefully yesterday and I cannot vacuum the gravel as those babies are all over the tank. In every corner, so I am guessing that they had an other large brood.
