Nice pictures JD. What are the fish in the last 2 pictures? I like the long body of the next to the last picture and the red eyes the fish has in the last picture. Thanks for sharing.

THanks everyone.
I'm glad you like the last fish George. Those are the parents to the bag of severums I handed you at the swap. They will grow up to look just like that. The long fish in the second to last pic is a crenicichla lenticula. Commonly called a lent pike.

WOW! Now I like them even more. Those severums you gave me have become one of my favorites lately. I like their attitudes. They are just cool fish and now that I know what they will grow up to look like. That makes them even better. I had a feeling it would be one of the pikes. I cannot seem to find that one online but I know that pikes get to big for me to even think of getting. I like it though.

Glad they are doing well and you are enjoying them. See, and you didn't even want them when I gave them to you ;D. They are the only mouthbrooding severum. Very unique and cool fish.

Well I totally apologize for not wanting those fish. I love them now and I hope I get a pair out of it. I truly thank you very very much for them. What is the scientific name for them? Do they do well in planted tanks? If they do I have a tank in mind for them when they get bigger and it will look awesome!

Lol, no need for apologies. I'm just teasing you . They are currently called Heros sp "atabapo" until further research is done. They will most likely end up being heros severus but until then use the name above. All severums can be a little rough on plants. Sometimes they like to dig them up or rip leaves off. They are usually fine when small though.

The pics of the 2 pikes don't do them much justice. They are much prettier in person. Tons of personality to.
