Wanted to thank both of you John, love these snails! They are already climbing all over my tanks George, the shinners seem to be adjusting well. Not interested in eating yet though. Set up another 10 gallon for the blue cloning cray and a few snails plus the plants. She went straight to hiding, but hopefully she'll grow to trust me. REALLY excited about her So, both of you, THANKS!!!! And it was great to meet you

It was great to meet you and I hope you enjoy your shiners and the blue cray. Those plants will grow like crazy for you. If you are patient the little blue cray will trust you and you will be able to hand feed it. The shiners not eating wow, they were pigs. Maybe after they settle in they will eat you out of house and home. LOL. The mollies have eaten already here and have gotten used to the hustle and bustle in this house already. Thanks for them. I really like them a lot.

I'm LOVING the cray. She's already started moving about the tank and tearing up my plants...lol those will be removed in the morning though. Glad you enjoy the mollies! Let me know if you want anymore Wanted to ask...what is the growth rate on the crays? Just curious as to how quickly she'll grow and possibly berry up. Real excited about her

Yea, that is why there are no plants in with any of my crays. I put the momma in a planted tank and she proceeded to prune all of the plants so no plants for them. I have read some people say they will not damage plants. Boy are they lying, the people who buy those crays will be upset if they put them into a planted tank. The ones that are berrying up are about somewhere between 3 & 4 months old. At the size your is she will probably molt every couple of weeks for a while, I don't really keep track of it but it will probably be about 3 months for her to grow to breeding size. It all depends on how often you change water etc. They are like fish and grow faster when the water is changed more often.
