So I've just bought a 12G nano tank with 20# of live rock that's been in there a month and before that it was in another tank. There's no smell and I saw things I thought were shrimp doing the backstroke. The former owner said they were copepods. Anyway, I was looking for them in the tank after I got home and found a black shell that looked like a trumpet snail. But it was moving, and it has FEET! I think it's a crab. Maybe it's a crab. I'm so excited! I'll post some tank pics. And as good a pic as I could get of the creature while it was going into hiding. Attachments:

Found out what the star is. Asterina. It won't get bigger than a dime and it can divide itself. How cool! It eats coralline algae.

I really like the look of that tank. Don't think I've ever seen one like it.
