I want a peacock tank. Can I put more than 1 male in a 55gallon, or am I asking for trouble?

Jordanc, no it is fine. Try to stay away from the same color strains. IE: Baenschi and Maleri both yellow. They try to show dominance. I do peacock/ haps. I have male fryeri and male red empress with the peacocks and they do well. If I can help let me know.

I'm not sure of the answer, but the others here would be. I'd think though they'd want to know--do you want the same exact species and strain only, or are you talking different types of peacock males?

You should be able to, unless one of your fish has a personality problem.
