I'm in the process of starting a 125g Mbuna tank. This will be my first African cichlid tank. I know I want some yellow labs. What else will go with them well? I want some bright blue and black fish and some red ones as well. What is everyone's opinion?

I really like the look of the demasoni. Will the yellow labs and white labs interbreed?

Yes, mine haven't, but they could. I usually watch for the tubes to drop and see which male goes for her. They prefer their own, but I you get 1 dominant male of either they will breed with any lab in the tank, white or yellow. By the time my whites get mature I'll have to move them.

I do well with a all male mbuna tank. It helps keep the aggression down. I will post a group.
