My husband and I are getting a 220 bowfront that we found locally for a steal. ;D We pick it up next weekend. We would really like to do a CA/SA tank...lots of rocks, clay pots, driftwood, plants (real and fake). It's been a long time since we've had any SA/CA cichlids besides our wet pet and angelfish, though. I know we have lots of experts here, so please give me some ideas!
Tank dimensions (approx) 72x24x30? Very tall. Maybe larger in width at the bow. I meant to bring my measuring tape and forgot.
We would like big, colorful, and relatively peaceful. Definitely some severums in the mix. We like JDs too.

You could either go the CA route out SA. I ould not mix them though. The tank is big enough to have a good mix of either.
If you are still interested in some of my fish it would probably be best to just drive up and I can show you the fish and go through all of your options.

SA/CA would be awesome I agree. I want to do the same with a large tank(s) like that. Post pics!
