Lighting makes all the difference in the world, I think.

I have to say I totally agree, Hannah! The difference in the way the tank looks is one thing, but the way the corals will react with this many types of light will be the payoff--and the way they look under different bulb combinations is sick! And that's sick in a GOOD way! Not really sure the starfish loves it though.

Tank looks good Tina. Of course I am not a salt hobbyist, so I see the tank as rather bare, but I am guessing there are things in there you are anticipating will grow and make it more beautiful as time marches on. Correct ? I like the river and swamp looking tanks. Diversity is what makes this world go round. So glad you are enjoying the tank and inhabitants.

It is sort of barren. More fish helps, and I do have two to add back in. I let the tank go fishless for over a month due to ich. The other thing that will help is coral, and I'm in the process of picking a few I can live with. I'm not coral obsessed, and like the look of natural rock, but the colors on some of them are very bright and will make a good addition.

In the entire tank view on the left side you can see some pinkish brown growth. That's coral, and it's dull and drab if you ask me. I didn't care if that ever lived but it took off like a shot. I want some frogspawn, and xenia, and blue clove. Don't know what else. But the blue looks like flowers, the white looks like snowflakes, and the frogspawn just glows really neat.
