tough call yet,however ther looks to be a blue flake on the lip,how big right now?i would leant toward male if he under 2.5"

They're about 3 1/2 inches now and I have one of each. The male is coloring up great. I just sent you email tomtom--let me know if I can help further.

And this one's all boy! I wish he'd let me get a better pic of him. He has what I think is a bite on his side but hope it's not some sort of parasite.

He's much prettier than I imagined he'd be. I honestly was disappointed when I found out he was going to color instead of stay black and orange but now am happy. He and the other guy keep taking chunks out of eachother's sides now and then like the one in the pic. I treated for parasites when I saw there was something sort of raised on the other and then noticed something on one of the white labs too. Looking closer the white lab had a scale flapping in the waves. And the one I thought was a parasite was sort of shrivelly but still there and looking like flesh. I think they'll have women before the week is out tho
