I put a handful of java moss into my new 5g shrimp and snail tank and didn't think much about it. Some ramshorns appeared, and about a week later (this morning), I noticed there were tiny fry in the tank! These guys are about the size of con fry and free swimming. The tank I got the moss from has a pair of boesemani rainbows and livebearers (swords and platys). I guess these are rainbow fry? I can't believe they've survived, honestly.

Well if there were platys or swords I think you'd know so they have to be rainbow, right? That's incredible news!

That's awesome! I always love it when you see babies you had no idea were in your tank

Thanks guys! To be honest, at first I was scared it was some kind of weird larvae or parasite...lol. The babies are hanging in there! I think there are about 10-15.
