I'll likely not be able to attend and watch. I've got the boys and everything seems to be in the Nashville area--it's hard on those that aren't close when there are obligations. I trust you'll fill us in.

Just another Bold Bump to remind everyone of the upcoming open club business meeting. Remember this is an Officers business meeting and any of you are welcome to attend and witness.
This is not the swap/meet that we will have in October. Now, you can among yourselves, swap, sell, trade, etc. in the parking lot or whatever, if you so choose, but this meeting of Officers is primarily for club business purposes.
You all have a fantastic weekend, and we'll see any of you that want to attend on Mon.. The plans still stand as previously posted.
Rick

Is that to say that the democracy is no more? Or members who show up can give an opinion of what's being discussed?

Democracy still prevails, but there is a process to follow for members in good standing to follow in order to ask for change. All of that is to be posted soon for all members in good standing to reference. To be specific about this evenings business meeting, there are numerous items on the agenda, and the officers will be voting on them. At the end of the meeting before adjournment, the floor may be opened to any members in good standing to make comments, requests, etc... for future meeting considerations. The agenda items for this evening are only for the general members or registered users to observe. I hope this address the question you had.

Yes it has. Democracy obviously has not prevailed. Everything to do with this club was to go to a general vote. I helped form it so I know it is the way we wanted it to be--we asked all involved. To take votes on club business only for officers is a dictatorship--or more accurately, what our congress does instead of considering the wants of the people. I would like to know what the issues are what the votes were and if we disagree with the votes what are the appeals processes, please. We don't even know what was going to a vote. It's too late even if folks would show up, listen to the issues, not be able to speak, watch you decide without their input, and then be able to comment on other stuff at the end of the meeting. I'm sorry, but this is not the club we envisioned when all the blood, sweat, and tears were put into building it from the ground up and deciding how it was going to be. Frankly, it hurts.
