Ok, so I've procrastinated enough about this... I had a large plecostamus in my 75 gal with my haps/peacocks and he was as big if not bigger than my cichlids. However, they picked on him and he couldn't hang. Now my tank looks disgusting and I am in desperate need of a pleco or something. Do you guys have any idea what I should throw in there with my male haps/peacocks?

I use bristlenose pleco's in my tanks. Provide hiding places so your fish can't get at them. The plecos will come out at night when it is safer.

I have 2 brisltenose plecos in my african cichlid tank and they are smaller than a lot of the fish in it. They hold their own pretty good ...so good that they have had 2 batches of fry for me so far since may......i will have some for the swap if interested......spotted and albino.

I have had a common pleco in with my mbunas for several years and he is fine. He has lots of hiding places though and mainly only comes out at night or during feeding time.

My Mbuna always killed plecos, no matter what.

My Mbuna always killed plecos, no matter what. Odd. Mine completely ignore the pleco.

I have some Lepidiolamprologus Hecqui in one tank that keep killing the bristlenose. The Hecqui in another tank don't bother them.
