I hatched brine shrimp for the first time today! Are they ever cute when they're swimming! Too bad they have to be food. They were for the fry. They're so small to swim like that!

Congrats! Your babies will love them. I get a cup of them everytime I go to the Critter and feed them as a treat to my breeders.

Of course I was getting looks from the other half--like "no you are NOT going to get attached to brine shrimp!" I fed some to the fry. They did love it.

Let me tell you how to hatch your own brine shrimp. Get youu a glass jug pour your brine shrimp in put cold water in fill your jug about 3 inches from the top them put a air stone in . In 24 to 48 hours they will hatch. When you get ready to feed your fry take out the air stone stir the brine shrimp after you stir let them set until the shrimp goses to the botton them take the stuff off the top thow it away feed your fry what on the botton you can feed them a little bit ever day .when you go to bay your shrimp bay san francisco bay brand sallys hatch mix brine shrimp eggs and salt.
